Absolutely fantastic place. Beautiful setting, amazing rooms and facilities. All the team.at Willington Lodge were brilliant. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had. We stayed the night before our daughters wedding along with all the bridesmaids and it was perfect for the occasion. Can't wait to come back. Thank you.

Perfection as always. Lovely to come back to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted back as family and was so lovely to bring Sirius too! Facilities and breakfast on point as always. Can’t wait to visit our special place again soon :D

So pleased to have come across Willington Lodge when we were searching for a getaway for the night. We’ve had a horrendous few months with family situations and this night away was just what we needed. Friendly welcome, stunning room, gorgeous bathroom, opening on to terrace was lovely. Breakfast was incredible, brought to the room for us and my allergy needs were catered for. Will definitely be back, hopefully for a few more days next time.

We Stayed here before our wedding, and had a bbq with 40 friends and family. Food was great, staff brilliant, accommodation perfect and extremely well designed; an amazing start to an incredible weekend. We had to rearrange no fewer than 4 times, they were extremely accommodating and kind throughout. All the guests had a great experience also. Really couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you!

This a lovely peaceful site. The family owners are kind and helpful, but the best welcome was from Winston the family dog, a handsome Black Labrador. The site is well maintained and in the process of being updated. The fabulous new cabin style toilet block is unfinished (Sept 2020) but items being installed are of high quality. Though with plans to expand into a lower field, there may be an issue with only two toilets and two showers, however, there is third by the house next to the small car park. Note: once you have unloaded (a first for us) cars are NOT allowed to remain on the site. There are approximately 6 hard stands and 7-8 grass areas for tents, (most) with hook ups. It was a little cramped at the back of the caravan, though on the two different occasions around the weekends, the tents erected there where quite large. But, most of the time we were there with 4-6 others. When expanding I hope the owners maintain a dog walk area and a place for children to run round. We had some lovely walks, but to get to them was via the busy entrance road and/or narrow lanes. The only issue is the lack of safe walking route. There are an excellent number of arrowed foot path signs, unfortunately within the site area most are either blocked off or very badly over grown - a call to arms to the UK ramblers. The nearest village of Horseman Green, boasts a post box. So maybe the site could set up a pre-order shop and a couple of route plans of nice walks. The pretty villages of Arowry and Hammer are within a few miles, and 5 miles to Whitchurch with Ellesmere town a short drive. its a 15-20 minutes drive to Wrexham, 30-40 to Chester. So this small site, whilst having a lovely rural setting, is within easy reach of historical towns and castles. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Stopped over for a couple of days at the weekend in the camping and caravaning site around the back of the lodge. Great little set up hard standing for campervans and motorhomes and grass pitches for the tents all with electric hook up available some habe water too. Very peaceful and quiet hardly any noise at night. Bbqing allowed just keep them off the grass bricks provided. Would definitely visit again. Toilets and showers all clean and hot water readily available. A little gem of a place.

This is where I had my wedding reception and my wedding anniversary. It is complete luxury my piece of complete heaven . Every room is individual and done to perfection. All things catered for. Amelia and her staff are so professional and food is beautiful. I'm looking forward to trying every room and having my daughter's wedding there.

We stayed at the Lord Willington Cottage and absolutely loved it. The cottage was homey and clean, with a beautiful garden which our dog loved. The owners were extremely friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was also delicious. Would highly recommend.

I never stayed in the Lodge but look into one. It was clean and spacious with a mini bar and tea coffe making facilities. Breakfast is ordered the day before and there are plenty of places to eat out locally or use the take away at Penley, phone orders will be delivered. The camp / campervan site is very tidy with nice clean toilets and showers. There is EHU, fresh water and waste disposal. There is a washing machine, dryer, small fridge and microwave at no extra cost. The site is also dog friendly. If you do visit try and use the local one way system see attached map, red dot for turning off A525, yellow dot is the site. when leaving the site turn left. Nearest pub is 30 min walk The Hanmer Arms. Open water swimming in the Lake / Mere at Hanmer, were there is a small shop with fresh fiid tea and coffee can also be purchased.
